Bancroft’s Main Street Makeover Project is mostly complete, but there’s still some work to do.
That message was shared by Bancroft Mayor Paul Jenkins, in a speech to open a recent council meeting.
Jenkins says the Town recently obtained permits to add some final streetlights and pedestrian crosswalk signals, allowing them to be added “in the near future.”
In the spring, the Town plans to plant trees and do other landscape work to finish off the project.
The roughly $4-million Main Street Makeover has led to new infrastructure on the downtown strip over the past year. It’s part of a broader town revitalization plan.
