ATV rider dies in River Bend Drive collision
An ATV rider is dead, following a collision in Brudenell Lyndoch and Raglan on the weekend.
Killaloe OPP is investigating the collision, which it says happened just before 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2. on River Bend Drive, near Wishman Road.
Police say a preliminary investigation revealed the lone driver of the ATV was heading west, but lost control and rolled over. The driver, a 54-year-old from Palmer Rapids, was taken to hospital but died later.
A postmortem has been ordered and the investigation continues.
Killaloe OPP investigating SUV crash that killed 83-year-old
Also, Killaloe OPP is still seeking people who can help with an investigation into a fatal crash that happened in South Algonquin Township last month.
The crash, which involved two SUVs, claimed the life of an 83-year-old driver.
Police and paramedics were called to Hwy. 127, north of McKenzie Lake Road, at about 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19.
Police say the northbound SUV veered into the oncoming lane, leading to a head-on collision.
Several people, including a 10-year-old, were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The 83-year-old, who was from Huntsville, was air lifted to a hospital, but died days later.
Police have charged a 43-year-old from Rome, Italy with careless driving, causing death. Police continue to investigate.
