Dogs left in parked car prompt warning from OPP

On one of the hottest days of the summer, OPP found two dogs that were left in a parked car.

Renfrew OPP officers got the call on Tuesday, but when they got to the scene, the car was gone. The person who called police took down the license plate number, so officers are investigating.

Police are reminding pet owners to leave their pets at home when they’re out shopping. The temperature inside a vehicle is significantly hotter than outside, even when the windows are left open.
