Three MNR crews fighting wildland fire in Marmora and Lake

A wildland fire known as HALO18 continues to burn in the municipality of Marmora and Lake as of Monday morning.

The Ministry of Natural Resources said the fire is 12.8 hectares in size and there are currently three ministry crews on site fighting the fire in the area of Copeway Lake.

The ministry said the use of water bombers Sunday assisted in managing the fire on the ground and they have a hose line around the fire, but the fire remains burning.

Residents are asked to give fire and emergency personnel the room to do their job.
